The Spirit of Community
Cowichan United Way improves the quality of life for our community by fundraising for other non-profit charities, providing guidance and counseling to charitable organizations, and taking a leadership role in raising awareness of community needs. Thanks to the help of our community partners, we achieve this every year.
In The Community:
Staples - United Way Art Program Staples hosted a special program in 2005 for their customers to donate art supplies to some of Cowichan United Way's local agencies. The participating agencies included Big Brothers Big Sisters, Cowichan Family Life, Hiiye'yu Lelum (House of Friendship), and Cowichan Seniors Advisory. View the press release for more info.
